Dare to edit your game!
Have you created a game and dream of seeing it distributed in France and around the world? Contact us to present your creation.
If your project is selected, we will offer you an Author contract by which Topla undertakes to make your project an industrial and commercial reality. Topla will take care of the development, artistic direction, graphics, manufacturing, marketing, in short all the steps that separate your dream from reality.
On your side, as an author, you will receive royalties on each game sold, regardless of the market.
Each publishing project is an exhilarating adventure, based on a meeting, a dialogue, trust, shared values and a common vision between you the author, and Topla.
Topla: a publishing house with convictions
Topla publishes card and board games to spend fun and quality time with family or friends.
We are looking for games for the following collections:
- inclusive games around sexuality, couples, consent, games that develop empathy, dialogue, tolerance to change the world for the better!
- clever, tactical and funny games, full of stimulating positive energy and accessible to all
- party games to have a great time with friends or family, between laughter, complicity and conviviality
We favor simple rules (which does not exclude game changers) and games that last between 15 and 30 minutes.
We make eco-friendly games without plastic.
If your game project meets these criteria, contact us at hello@playtopla.com
Let's get in touch!
Before contacting us, take the time to discover "Topla's convictions" to be sure that we are the right publishing house for your game.
To tell us about your creation, you can:
- either write to us at hello@playtopla.com and send us a presentation, a video or any other support
- or meet us at a trade fair : we are usually present at the Cannes Games Festival, the Vichy Games Festival, the ACFJF "Jouer Français" trade fair, the Spielwarenmesse in Nuremberg and the Essen trade fair in Germany. Contact us in advance to set up an appointment.
Before presenting your game to us, keep in mind one essential principle: have your game tested as much as possible! Your entourage is your first support but do not hesitate to go and meet other players. The fairs of Cannes, Parthenay, Vichy to name a few are great opportunities to have your game tested. There are also shops that offer game evenings, game cafés and associations.
It takes time to refine the rules and make your game a unique creation that brings joy and fun.
If your game is shortlisted, we will ask you for a prototype to play with the team and do some testing before making a final decision.
And after?
Your project will follow different stages:
- gameplay validation
- validation of the rules of the game
- validation of the material: number and size of the cards, size of the box
- content validation: if there is a need to improve and rewrite texts
- the selection of an illustrator (unless this part has already been done by you and validated with us)
- Artistic Direction
- preparing documents for printing
- factory setting
- manufacturing
- marketing
The development time of a game, from the moment the Author contract is signed, can vary from 12 to 24 months, depending on the complexity of the game, the publishing work to be done, our launch schedule and the workload of the factories.
It's very exciting and a great opportunity to support a creative project. We have great respect for the author's work and we are committed to giving the game its best chance of success by supporting it year after year. So, let's go on an adventure?
